Celebrate the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist's birthday by watching this incredible performance.
Flea was born Michael Peter Balzary on 16 October 1962. And to mark the birthday of the wild man of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, let's relive one of his finest moments.
Flea went viral back in 2018 after giving a show-stopping solo performance during as how in San Francisco.
The By The Way bassist took to the stage at the city's Masonic auditorium for a Pathway To Paris concert on 14 September that year. The event was put on the raise awareness around the urgency of climate change and to "offer solutions to turning the Paris agreement into action".
Legendary musician Patti Smith introduced the bassist by saying: "He is poetry, he is innocence, he is energy, he is Flea!"
Our man then performed for 15 minutes armed only with his bass guitar, a loop pedal and his trusty trumpet.
