Are Chuu and Kim lip childhood friends? ›

Chuu and Kim Lip have been close since middle school and attended the same high school. The other members of yyxy (Yves, Go Won and Olivia Hye) are also her roommates.

Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Cho*rry, along with the rest of LOONA's 12 members, parted ways with their previous management company, Blockberry Creative, within the past eight months amid a series of contract disputes and lawsuits, ostensibly putting an end to the LOONA we have known for the past few years.

She met Chuu before the formation of the group since they graduated from Hanlim Multi Arts School together, but their friendlship predates that because they moved from their hometown to Seoul together just to start high school.

Chuu's first appearance is within her solo song, "Heart Attack". She has fallen completely in love with Yves. This is the girls' first comeback since group Loona disbanded. Now disbanded, 12-member Loona made its debut in December 2018 and quickly rose to stardom. However, the financial difficulties of its agency, BlockBerry Creative, and a dispute between the company and artists soon led to the band's disbanding.

In January 2023, Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Cho*rry won their cases and left the company. After being removed from LOONA in November 2022, Chuu has since promoted with independently through a new company.

On July 12, sub-unit Odd Eye Circle released an EP Version Up, under Modhaus, with Kim Lip stating during the EP's showcase that "[Loona] is not a disbanded group however since [the members] cannot use the [group] name freely, we are leaving the possibility of activities as a full group opened".

The most recent variation of the heart gesture was created by Chuu of Korean girl group Loona, who has taken to forming a circle with both hands and 'biting' into it like a hamburger, forming a heart shape as she does so.
